Are there any models that don’t have a history of auger and/or hopper fires?

I am shopping for a new pellet grill after experiencing a catastrophic hopper fire with my Asmoke 350, but I see the same issue happening on the Pitboss portable 150 which is a similar design, they should have designed these things with a shield over the auger tube exit to prevent heat and flame from directly impinging on unburned pellets still in the auger that haven’t dropped, this shield could be shaped like a Chinese hat bracketed onto the end of the auger tube

Thanks for the reply, another problem they forgot to design for was a way to easily evacuate the pellets from the hopper if there was a hopper fire, so if you needed to empty it quickly into a bucket with water, you just open a trap door and the burning pellets would fall into the water.
