Auger runs before the grill gets turned on

Hey guys! I just replaced my auger motor in my Austin XL and when I plugged in my grill the auger began turning before I turned on the power button! What did I do wrong?

Is the wiring correct? If it is I would think it's a bad control board.

I'm sure it is......I'm thinking of buying a new board.....It's just such a coincidence that my auger motor AND my control board would both go bad....

How old is it? Might be under the 5-year warranty 877 303 3134 option 2. Motors when the go bad/ short out can take out the control board also.

You were absolutely correct. Needed a new board. Made an awesome rack of ribs today! Thanks for the tip!
