Auger won't move

Been dealing with this problem for 3 years with my vertical smoker. Auger won't move, the fan is on. I've tried priming it, unplugging it etc. Any help, please don't tell me not to worry about the auger. Temps won't regulate and white smoke is all I get til I fix the auger problem

Loosen the 4 bolts holding the auger backing plate on,sounds like it's binding
