Cleaned out Auger and reassembled , still slips

no I did not clean the sensor but I will do that but that doesn't explain why the auger motor stopped while the hopper was full. Was wondering if anyone may have ran into this issue before.
Pellets are different lengths
I run mine through a colander to get the dust out
That may be your issue

Check the specs on the one you took out. They need to match
The current draw (amps) is significant, I don't know if there is a tag on old motor or new motor. I just looked at two different replacement motors and don't see an amp rating.

If you have a multi-meter you could check them but if the original totally failed...

Did the new unit have a reduction box attached as a unit?

I am wondering if the reduction drive my have nylon gears and maybe stripped a cog.

You should be able to google that and it should tell you. If not then contact the manufacturer
Can you observe the motor / auger mechanism while it's running? Is the fan and motor spinning when the auger stops? Is the shear pin/bolt installed at the auger tyranny coupling? My GMG has sheared off the cotter key (shear pin) twice, that joker has plenty power. Hold the output shaft with pliers, see what it takes to stop it. Maybe the Chinamen slave was bucking up that day... or his $0.60 paycheck got lost.
