I’ve seen lots about not getting these plates wet. Wondering if they are completely dry prior to putting back into grill, is it ok? Does everyone cover them with foil prior to use? Is degreaser ok? Mine are covered with grease and I can’t see getting clean without soap, water and scrubbing.

Welcome from Texas to the group!
Clean it completely out
Then sift your new pellets through a colander
Pour a small amount of pellets in the hopper and fire it up.
You’ll probably have to pull the auger and vacuum that out as well.
Store your pellets in a air tight container
Hopefully this helps you 🇺🇸🇺🇸

Thanks! Can I just say I miss TEXAS! Lived there for 17 years and just moved back to MI in 2020. Thanks for your help. Do you cover your plates with foil when using?
