College Football season...will they play

Saw two games yesterday. Teams I had never really heard of. But nice to see college football being played. Saw on espn that Tennessee has 44 players in quarantine! Yikes!

Ouch that is tough for the Vols man they are just cursed since Lane Kiffin hire. I hate ESPN so I will not watch any sport on that channel.

My Mizzou Tigers are doing very well so far they are 3rd place in the SEC East.

And Tennessee continues to stink up the east! Time to get a new coach!

I have two crappy teams to watch. My team (Vols) and my daughter's (Noles).

Vols are going to have a issue with getting a new coach as they keep firing them no one will want to coach in Knoxville unless we are talking about 4 - 5 million a year. My biggest problem with college football is the player rankings as Tennessee was #15 in recruiting class last year and everyone thinks it is the coach?

Some these Vol players do not look like 4 - 5 star players more like 3 stars so I am not certain that the rankings of these players are accurate. Look at Mizzou quarterback Connor Bazelak he is definitely not a 3rd star quarterback as he has more tools and skills than a lot of QB's in the SEC plus as he was selected freshman player of the week 3 times this year.

I hate to say this, but if Connor started against Tennessee this year Mizzou most likely wins that game.

You may be right but UT trotting out Gaurantano week after week hasn't helped TN. I've been saying for three seasons he is not the QB to use. They play Vandy today with a freshman QB but our cable and internet are out so I can't watch and can barely stream the radio feed. Tried to watch Ga/mizzou and it kept cutting out so I called the cable company and they said there is an outage countywide that disrupts service.

Georgia spanked Mizzou pretty bad. Georgia talent is far more superior than Mizzou. I was not expecting Mizzou to beat Georgia at all.

I like Mizzou chances with the new coach he was great a App State. Tennessee is a great program all they need is a solid coach and they can be back to old days of Vol Football.

For me I am an Aggie I graduated from Texas A&M and so did my wife that is where I met her. So we got some SEC boys in here.

I just read Mizzou just cancelled their bowl game due to covid. And also read JT Shrout (QB for TN) has transferred to Colorado. I listen to a Knoxville radio show when I have time on my phone and they believe we will be having a coaching search before Jan due to the investigations going on. Interesting read here from Monday Dec 21 after the A&M game: http://tonybasilio.com/index.php?page=tony&b=3581

I'm an Aggie dad. Son graduated in 15. Daughter went to Miss State for a 1 1/2 years and transfer to the Academy of Art University in San Francsisco.

I guess it is time for the same question... But will they play at full capacity? Delta variant spreading like wildfire in my area of Florida. Wonder if they will limit capacity in stadiums?

Also, what are everyone's thoughts on Texas and OU moving to the SEC? My thoughts are it is going to be too crowded and less non-conference games.

I think they will be in the SEC before 2025. Don't look for either one to do good against most of the SEC schools in football. Will like having the A&M vs Texas game back.

Yup! I miss that match up. It's going to be fun to watch Texas compete with the big dogs (Bama, Auburn) every year.

Best part of OU/TX move to SEC will be restarting the Texas/A&M rivalry. Weeklong Boys trip scheduled to the LSU/Kentucky Game in October with a side of Bourbon Trail. (6 days -14 distilleries, game day Saturday - priceless) Geaux Tigers
