Had an auger motor issue. Ordered one & replaced it. While testing, something shorted & blew the 4amp fuse. Replaced that & reassembled. Turned to smoke setting to test. Seemed to be working, so I shut it off & walked away. Still smoking 15 min. later, so when I went out, it was at 475 and feeding pellets in the off position.
Did I get a bad motor, or did I fry something in the circuitry, or something else?

Possibly or controller went south. I’d call pitboss

did you disconnect any other wires?
If so, maybe you connected your auger motor to the fan or ignitor instead.
I would double check your connections, check wiring diagram too!

I'm having the same issue! Did you ever get it solved?
