Controlling with Wifi or Bluetooth

I had this problem too but my wife was giving me the side eye when I when I started talking about buying more gadgets... I ended up getting a cheap ($29) wifi extender and putting it in the window where the grill is. Works throughout the house now and we live in a 60s cinder block home. As far as the Bluetooth connectivity, I gave up on that the first day. I do use my ThermoPro wireless (which has no problem with Bluetooth connection) just to keep my PB probes honest.

I have issues also, wi-fi wont hook up even though wi-fi signal for all other devices reaches all corners of my yard !!
HOWEVER the blue tooth portion works just fine so I just use that, range a little limited but it reaches my fat man recliner and kitchen so
I just use that. I plan on investing on the ThermoPro dual pack wireless probes in the near future.

For me... bluetooth won't connect even when standing beside grill. Third control board (original, replacement, now 2nd replacement) comes in today. So even if it works, it is still a 66% failure rate. But I don't expect it to work. I will have PB CS on the phone the moment the box is opened through the install, setup, firmware update, and we will see..

My PS850S2 doesn't see wifi during the addition of the grill then only connects with Bluetooth when it's in shutdown mode after that. I have a dedicated 2.4GHz network for these types of devices and it doesn't even see it even if I have the phone connected to that network during the grill addition. I have a feeling that the firmware update pushed bad code to the grill and they have no way around that yet.

New Android App this AM. Version 2.0.1 same as 1.6.2. App did not update firmware on grill. Back to Support! As cannot test beyond my PB1150ps2 with Android app...
