Hi All,
New here, new owner of a “used” ProSeries 6 Elite vertical smoker.
Discovered fan blades broken on combustion fan. This fan looks like a computer fan with 4 wires. Everything I find on line for these smokers is a 2 wire fan. I found a Treager D2 fan that looks like it.
Does anyone have any knowledge of these fans?

Thanks to all for the warm welcome. You know, I never looked to see if a new connector was spliced in or not. I will check and also see if only 2 wires feed the 4 wire connector.
The 4 wire fans are usually Pulse Width Modulated. So the fan speed is controlled at the fan with a signal and not by a variable voltage from the controller. But I will look at it today and get back

It'd be cool if just any old computer fan would work. But, I wonder if they don't hold up as well in an outdoor environment??? Regardless, it's a cheep fix!

Welcome from Rhode Island. You always can look up your model number at Pitboss.com where they will have a wiring diagram or call them 877 303 3134 option 2.
Thanks Mike, I called Pit Boss and spoke to an awesome Customer Care rep named Valery! Still no time to run out and look at unit, but now I recall the wiring diagram on the back of the unit showed 4 wires.
I wonder if the 4-wire fan was rigged by a previous owner?
Hi Sparkyv. Not rigged by previous owner. See pics. It is original design. You can see the diagram on back of unit shows 4 wires
I am just curious if there is anyone out there that has same model and can any info off the label on the fan. The Pit Boss rep said there should be label on fan, mine did not have it. The connector is on the smoker.

I have it in order from Pitboss, but the picture on their website is wrong. It is also on back order with no availability date. I discussed with their Customer Care and they noted it on the order and said if it’s wrong they would refund the money and start investigation why.
Crazy thing is the Control for it shows the wrong picture also, I think they should fix this on their website.
The 6 Series seems to be a strange bird, as many suppliers of parts don’t even list this model.

Here's the fan. It's in my spare parts box waiting for the day it's needed. It took about two months for Pitboss to deliver when the harness melted on the original fan.

You are awesome, thinking maybe I should have bought 2. Bought the Treager D2 fan, thinking long back order. But connector different. So going to cut off and splice PitBoss connector to it. Will research this one
