Gas line not lining up

We just bought the KC combo and are putting it together but the gas line doesn't line up with the notch in the stand which then doesn't line up with the holes to put it together. Did anyone else have this issue? I don't want to mess with the gas line for obvious reasons and its so heavy returning it will be painful.

Did you get this rectified? I have similar issue, just not that far. Off by about 1", but still can't install it.
