Grate cracked - anyone else?

I have one of those 800 Pro series from Lowes. I bought it earlier this year. I was heating it on high today and I heard a pop and then looked and noticed one of the grates cracked about 3" towards the middle. It is the ceramic coated grate with the diamond pattern. Has anyone else had that happen? I am attempting to get hold of someone at customer support now to see if it is a warranty item. Hope so!

FYI: Just got off the phone with pitboss support and they are going to send me a new grate under warranty. I just needed to provide my serial number and send them a photo of the cracked grill. Easy process.

I think I am going to try to find a stainless steel grate for the future, though. These diamond pattern grates are a mess to clean.

Have you replaced the grates? I have my 1100 series grill being delivered today. I'm considering replacing my diamond pattern grates with the regular straight bar grates.

I have not replaced them due to not knowing of a fitting replacement. If I find some I definitely will. The diamond grates are a pain to clean.
