Try sliding it off center towards the hot side an inch at a time.Ive got the 850 Pro and have been experimenting with the origional (2 hole) and the 3 hole one. With origional (3 hole one) got 45* difference between area closet to auger (hottest temp) and opposite end. Then between the front and back on ends and middle got 20* difference .. Got a couple better thermometers and will experiment more. Nothing is perfect. )
