How do I know if the fan is running?

I just bought a Pit Boss Pro 1100 from Lowe’s and had them assemble it. When I tried to do my initial burn off I eventually got an error message, lots of smoke, and no fire. I cleaned it out and tried again and got the same result. I found if I blow into the fire pot it will flame for a few seconds, then die as soon as I stop. I do not hear a fan, and I can’t feel any air coming through. It seems to me I should be able to hear the fan. Is this true?

Now I’m wondering if they didn’t install something correctly or if I got a faulty fan. Next step would be to figure out how to get to the wiring.

Yep, thanks. Found the problem. The main fan is sticking to the bottom of the housing below the auger. I felt the fan motor and it was hot, and that’s when I saw that the fan was hanging up. Hopefully it’s an easy fix I can do myself.
