I have an 1100 series that's about 2 years old now. It worked great for about a year and a half.
Then all of the sudden the ignitor rod started going out. I've replaced it twice now. The new rod would work for about 3 hours and then go out again. I have a new rod and I also replaced the fire pot. Just wondering if anyone here might have an idea or suggestion before I try this again. Thank you

I've had a problem on my 850 where the set screw that holds the igniter in place comes loose and is moveable. I've had to pull the fire pot and igniter and tighten the set screw several times. If I remember correctly the igniter is supposed to sit out about 1/4 inch or so. Not sure if it's out too far or too little if that could cause your problem. Mine has worked properly other than it keeps coming loose.

Hi guys,
I have a Pitboss Navigator where my hot rod had to be replaced due to the holding screw being worn and the rod not working. Replaced the hot rod twice now and each time it heats up (red hot) for a minute then trips the breaker switch. Switch on the electrics again and the hot rod doesn’t work and every other component works. Please can someone help? Wattage too strong for the plug or what ?

Try a different circuit
If that doesn’t solve your issues then call pitboss support
It’s more than likely the controller
Hopefully this helps you 🇺🇸🇺🇸
