Looking For Opinions Before I Purchase New Smoker

In case anyone was wondering, I decided to go with a PB1600PSE from Lowe's. As my son and I put it together I was really impressed with the heftiness and design, this feels like a quality product. Got my initial burn off and seasoning done, then made some baby back ribs. Still lots to learn about pellet smokers coming from a charcoal unit, but so far I love this thing. It almost seems too easy!
Congrats and welcome to the PB family. Remember to cook to temp and not time and you'll never go wrong.

Buy quality, 100% hardwood pellets from a reputable manufacturer

I just bought a PB850. Perfect size for me. I use it several times per week. Just last night I smoked 9 pork chops and finished them on the sear plate. Amazing!

Next up...a 9-pound pork butt, NY strip, and of course, more ribs.

Ok,
Here is my two cents, I had the same dilemma, I had it narrowed down to three ,the Pro series 1150, the Pro Series 1600 and if you haven't looked in to it the Pit Boss Platinum 1250 from Walmart a very nice smoker for $697.00 all 3 had Wi-Fi and the other features I was looking for I settled on the 1600 from Lowes ( I did get the military discount which covered the tax) I considered the 1600 elite but in the end didn't figure the extra $300.00 was worth it. I am very happy with my 1600 so far
at first I thought the light was a little gimmicky but the other night when cooking a pork shoulder it really came in handy !!
In the end I figured too big was better than to small and settled on the 1600 from Lowes.
If you get the chance check out that Pit Boss Platinum 1250 at Walmart its a very nice smoker but it's relatively new to their line up so you may have to call to see if they actually have one on display. P/S one thing to consider the 1600 comes with a very nice griddle insert !! for some reason the 1600 elite does not.
I actually have the 1250 Platinum. Picked it up and the cover at my local Walmart. After getting the app and wi-fi sorted out, it's a very nice grill. I hope I never need it, but it's got a cool feature, an auger maintenance access door. Here's a video of how it works.

I agree. Better too big than too small. Don't want to run out of space.
