It was a gift. Got it set up, tried to use it. Turning it on blew the GFI on the power line.

The first Support call said it was a short in the heater coil, so they'd send me a new one. It took 2 months to arrive. So I waited and when it arrived I started to work.

While disassembling the grill to replace the heater coil, I found the red and white wires to the heater were shorting out, apparently rubbing against the bottom panel of the smoker. So another call to Support. Said they'd send me a new one. This time it took 3 more months to arrive.

Trying to install it now, but the instructions are no better than "Take out the old and put in the new." Great, except it's been 3 months since I took apart the original one and I can't remember where the Red, Green, and White wires connect to the heater coil. There are three wires and two ends to the coil.

Any ideas?

Yes, I was remiss in not taking pictures as I went along the steps to disassemble things. Everything was moving along smoothly until I was surprised by the shorted-out wires. I never imagined I would have to wait another 3 months to finish it up.

Thanks for all the welcomes!
