New platinum Lockhart

New at this game of using a Pitboss.
I haven’t even put pellets in it to burn off the oil yet, any pointers? I’m willing to learn.

Going to start with a cheap cut of pork butt. Using maple and whiskey pellets.
having problems with the Pitboss app can’t get it to connect. I have a I phone but when I press the grill icon I get general info. Also
I did burn out at 375 and the smoker section only showed 270.

Well after the grill cooled I went checking why little heat and smoke to smoker, found I had it closed instead of OPEN. Told ya I was new to this thing. Learning as I go. ?

I did my first burn off today after receiving a new circuit board, app worked okay except i can’t adjust the temp from phone. Smoker takes a long time to get to the 225 range even with dampers open. Auger is making a noise but is working okay, might quieten down with use.

Exactly what had you not opened? The smoke vents? I’m having similar issues and cannot figure it out
