“hammered” paint smear when cleaning outside of the grill. Has anyone experienced this? Is there a way to fix? Or is this covered under warranty?

If it’s a paint issue it’s an easy fix with high heat black paint. My grill had a rust spot on the outside under the burn pot. I sanded it and painted it with high temp paint and it’s good as new. But would also like to see a pic in case it’s something totally different.
