Pellet dust

ME. Have a new PBV4PS2 from lowes, I put it all together step by step and did the first burn for brake in and did just what the book says to do and when done I open the door and a lot of pellet dust inside what have I done wrong, please help

You didn't do anything wrong. I get alittle ash too, mostly when I open the door to do something to what I'm smoking. But I never noticed it on any of the stuff I smoked. I noticed more ash from grilling over charcoal, when the fat drips onto the coals or it's windy.

Yeah just use a shop vac and suck em up. I've had a vertical for over a year now and that is normal. Just wait until the unit is cold until using the shop vac

on my first time mine did the same thing after shut down leave the door open take care of problem
