Pellets $4 a bag!

My Walmart has fruit blend and classic blend on clearance for $4 for a 30 pound bag. For $4 I'm grabbing a bag. Look around your Walmart for the same deal.

Saw an ad today for Kingsford pellets. It said they have 100% wood in maple, cherry and hickory. I have their cherry and hickory but haven't seem maple. Haven't had the opportunity to use either alone since I'm still using up some of my Pitboss pellets. I like the idea of pure wood that I can blend myself if I desire.

Local Tractor Supply is just starting to stock some Bear Mountain. Bought Gourmet Blend and Bold BBQ yesterday. Looking forward to trying them. Already have their Apple and plan to try that on a Spatchcocked chicken sometime his week.

Almost finished the last of my Pitboss Competition yesterday on meatloaf that came out good but I'm not overly fond of the competition blend.

Hey folks, I'm going to get the Bear Mountain pellets to try them out. Specifically for use just in the smoke tube. The plan is use my Sam's Club pellets primarily for the heat source and then the tube with a smoke flavor enhancer.
Any recommendations on flavor type for a starter try? Next cook will probably be a beef roast doing burnt ends from a recipe my wife found.😉

So far my favorite is their gourmet bbq which consists of oak, hickory, maple and cherry. Next to that is their bold bbq which has oak, hickory and mesquite. 4 bucks is a great deal.

I love the BM gourmet blend. Did a tritip a while back with the gourmet blend in the hopper and smoke tube. Great flavor.
