I recently installed replacement burners for my Pit Boss combo and there seems to be zero gas flow into the new burners. The ignition sparks but no flame. Also, tried using a lighter and still no flame.

Am I missing something? Was there some sort of cap in the new burners I received from Pit Boss?

Any help appreciated!

If there is no obvious flow of propane from the new burners, is there the sound or smell of propane ? Sometimes if the LP cylinder is opened to quickly the safety part of it does not allow flow. Assume you tried shutting tank valve and reopening more slowly ?

So I've tried all the suggestions other than taking the grill valves completely apart. I inspected the burners and dont see a plug, I shut off the propane and turned it back on, I bought a new propane tank, and still no luck. No sound of gas when I turn on the burner valve to high and no immediate smell.

I called Pit Boss from my office on Friday and they said I needed to be next to the grill to do a video call. Not sure why it has to be this difficult.

Second update. I was lucky enough to get a rep on the phone today and do a video call. Tried all the trouble shooting steps but only the middle burner would light. I'm wondering if the outside 2 burners have some sort of safety triggered where they won't allow gas into the burner and there is so much greeze/soot around it that it is lodged in place.

Regardless, Pit Boss is sending me a new valve assembly since my combo is still under warranty. I'm thinking maybe I can pull off the current assembly and clean it thoroughly and see if that works. Hmmmm.....

So you are talking the regulator valve that connects to the propane cylinder or, the three burner control valve for each of the three burners ? Assume the later meaning the control knobs did not open and close allowing flow of LP gas to each burner.

Correct. The 3 valves at the burners. Now i have to figure out how to pull off the front plate. I found some instructions and it looks super simple except for getting a screw driver in between the smoker front plate and the grill front plate to remove that screw.

Ya, you may have to remove the whole thing off the barrel as the front panel is bolted to it ? Removing grates, burner covers and burners just to remove the nuts on the inside ? I still have my assembly instructions if that might help you ? Here is that part of the instructions. Let me know, I can maybe scan some parts of the assembly if needed and share.

I have one screw remaining to remove sp i can get the front panel off the valve assembly and I can't seem to unscrew it no matter how hard I try. I've sprayed WD-40 on both sides. No luck. Any tips or suggestions? I'm afraid it is starting to strip.

Since there are 3 panhead bolts holding those two panels ends together. Why not just use a hacksaw blade and cut that panhead bolt, I think a blade might fit between the two panels? If two are not enough you can always then go buy a replacement bolt and nut. They also do sell penetrating sprays that are made to loosen rusted on bolts / nuts more than WD.
