Pit Boss Platinum Laredo 1000 - ERL error code

My 6 month old Pit Boss Platinum Laredo 1000 has started giving me ERL error code and stops working. I've tried call Pit Boss this morning and was put on hold for 15 minutes then prompted to leave a message (still waiting ;-( ... Any help out there would be appreciated.

I finely got some help from Pit Boss and they sent me a new temperature probe but unfortunately that didn't fix the problem so now they're sending me a new pellet igniter...stay tuned. I have to tell you all I'm NOT real happy providing FREE labor for Pit Boss's warranty work :-(

What's the code mean in your owner's manual? That's happen to me once when it was cold and windy out, it failed to light off.
I pushed the start button again and everything was fine after.

Thanks for your input, I had the same type of weather and did what you suggested a half dozen times and completed my meal but I'm looking for a long term solution. My grill is only 6 months old I called Pitt Boss left messages and no call backs.... Frustrating!

I'd keep calling customer support. I keep my smoker out of any wind, that's a big help.

I can NEVER get anybody to answer to phone I leave messages and NObody ever replies... VERY frustrating!!! Anyway replacing the igniter element they sent me seen to fix the problem. Hope this helps and good luck!

I have better luck calling first thing in the morning
They are getting slammed on controller issues and the Wi-Fi app

I get it that they're busy but there's NO excuse for when you're prompted to leave a message when they can't answer the phone and NOBODY ever returns your call. As a side note the new app for my android works WAY better then than the old one so kudos to the software engineers that wrote the program.
