PS1150 Temp problems - SLAB Heat Deflector

Bought them this year. They are Pitmasters all natural hardwood blend.
For a reference point, how long do you think it's supposed to take to reach 350f in 10c weather (50f)?
And do you open the flame broiler when you preheat?

No, my flame broiler is always closed. I usually cook at 200-250, so I can't give you an exact time. My guess would be about 20 minutes. Maybe 30 minutes to completely settle in.
