Shut Down Procedure

I agree 100%, I crank it up, burn crud off grills, hit the off button, and it does the rest. After a half hour or so, It’s cooled down all the way, so I roll it back up into the shop. I’ve never had an issue with the pellets in the auger burning.

Smoke On
The only thing I have to do afterwards is wire brush off the stuff left on the grates.

I do the same with burn off. Makes for an easy vacuum-out before next cook. Roll back into garage when cool.
I have had a time or two where I got some burnback into the auger, especially when I raise it to 400-ish.
Simply turn on power again and feed fresh pellets out to the hopper. It works for me.
