Hey guys, new here.
I went out to grill burgers last night and had issues with the igniter, I assume. My smoker feeds pellets into the cup, starts smoking, but won't catch fire. After a few minutes, it shuts itself off.
Any suggestions or easy fixes? Thanks!

Did you have it on smoke setting for 5 to 7 minutes if its a barrel type smoker? Also check to see how much of the igniter is sticking out pass the pot. Should be 1/4 to 1/2". Mine was hardly sticking out and after resetting it to 1/2" long it really cranks now. We need to know what make and model first to help you anymore.

Where in Mo. are you?

Sorry guys, was out of town for the weekend. Thanks for all of your responses.
My grill is the Pit Boss PB820FB Wood Pellet Grill and Smoker.

No error codes, but sometimes the temperature starts flashing when it doesn't heat up right away.

Yes, this all occurs while it's on the 'smoke' setting.

I would take all the grills out and the sear plate and check to see if the ignitor is sticking out at least 1/4 to 1/2" then watch to see what happens. Put it on smoke and push the prime till some pellets fall in and then wait to see if the ignitor rod gets hot. You should here the roar when it lits up and then leave it in smoke for another 5 to 7 minutes and Dont close the lid till and the white smoke is gone. If that doesnt work I would check underneath. Unscrew the plate at the bottom control panel area and see it the ignitor is plugged in good.
