Thinking of PBV4PS2, temperature selection question

Called today and was informed they don't have a replacement controller with 10° increments. Tried to explain to her several different ways that I'm pretty sure they do, she was adamate that the 4 series vertical didn't have an updated controller.

Guess I'll call again on another day and hope to get someone who knows that they do? Frustrating. But I can get by with these increments for now, honestly.

I'd call again, people are buying them now from Lowe's and it comes with the 10 deg increments. The controller they sent me is in 10 deg increments for my PBV4PS2 label on the box # LP42352.

I just bought the PBV4PS2 at my local Lowe's on sale for $399. After getting 20% off by getting a Lowe's credit card, the price was $320. I hope mine will have the 10 degree increments, but won't know until they deliver it later this week. I will post once I find out.

i know people had issues with the SmokeIT app for the 850/1150. Anyone have luck using the app with the PBV4PS2 and WiFi?

I just pickup the PBV4PS2 at my local Lowe's on sale for $399. After getting 20% off by getting a Lowe's credit card, the price was $320. I hope mine will have the 10 degree increments, but won't know until they deliver it later this week. I will post once I find out.

I struggled to get it to connect out of the box. Kept getting to step 5 of 6 and would time out and say "unplug grill and wait 5 minutes before trying to connect again." Probably did that a dozen times, then gave up and called - it was late so they had to call me back. So I just went back to trying and trying the next morning. Eventually stopped unplugging it and kept mashing buttons. Eventually broke through and it connected. 30 minutes later app assist called me.

App works good so far for me, but it was a real pain to get connected.

I have the PBV4PS2 and have had good luck with the smoke it Legacy app. The newest version the Smoke it app kept lossing connection and was just terrible, I deleted it and stayed with the Legacy. Android phone here.

Pit Boss is the only company to my knowledge that doesn't have 5 degree increments on their PID controllers. Even the $195 Walmart Expert has 5 degree increments. Doesn't make since.

I have the 10 deg increments, blue tooth when I'm near the smoker, then over to WIFI when I'm in the house, or down the road. You have to set up the wifi thru the app so it gets permission to use your router.
