Ok, so I've now done two cooks on my $30 FB marketplace 1150.
I picked up a flame tamer, flame broiler pan and the air gap mod.
With both cooks, 3hrs and 7hrs the grill never got to the set temp of 225 or 250. Stayed around 179-188 when set to 225 and about 219-224 when set to 250.
From my research it appears that I have the old controller with the PID issue and I don't have the 10° increments.
I know people in warranty were able to just call PB up and they would either have a controller sent to them or they sent their controller to PB. Since I don't have a warranty on this thing I doubt they would even consider updating the FW / fix the PID issue.
Is my only option to buy a newer version of the controller? or would PB be willing to help?
