Whole turkey, when to buy?

Wondering if buying this week or next week will be the cheapest per pound pricing for whole turkey? It's turkey eating season and I'm seeing the per pound price has dropped below $0.50 per pound and trying to figure out if it will continue to drop. Seasoned turkey cookers, what say you?

bought mine today at Publix. the "sale turkeys" at winn dixie started at 18lbs. I only wanted 12-ish, but require giblets included.
$.49/lb.

my local HEB does a buy a ham get a turkey free up to 12 lbs...turkey says its good through January so I'm set for Christmas dinner.
