2 new temp. gauges and bottle opener for the PB850PS2

Sure, next time i clean out the smoker I'll take it out and post my measurements
Really curious about dimensions. I tried to make a prototype out of a cookie sheet but my RTD temp reads same as right side, middle and left are 15 degrees hotter.. I mean it's a huge improvement none the less

Here ya go

Overall dimensions are roughly 8"x14". Used the sear plate to find the correct curvature for the top and bottom. The cutout for the auger is roughly 5"x4". I just made the cuts on each side and then bent the piece to use as a stand, like a bookend of sorts.

Do you have any issues with the RTD probe not keeping up with the rest of the grill. I mean I image if I found the sweet spot the issue would solve itself. But actual dimensions help, cuz I don't have the skills to build it. I gotta take to a fab shop. I did it out of a baking sheet. I'm sure it's warped to all hell now.. but nothing I can't pound out with a hammer. And then finding the Sweet spot. Any idea roughly how far from the fire pot it is.. give or take. Or the straight edge part where that little lip is... I figured in the future I could still a hole in it. And bolt a rod to make it adjustable on the fly but without temp gauges on each side it's pointless for now

No issues here, temps arent perfect across the grill but much better than they were. Probably a 10-15 degree difference vs 40-50 originally. In my last post you can see where i placed it. Ive since moved it maybe 1/2" further from the firepot.

If you have a home depot/lowes and a jigsaw you can do this. I used a sheet of 14ga sheet metal from home depot and cut this out with my jigsaw+metal blade. It took 15 mins max

I dont have any need to move it once its in place so I'm not going to venture down that avenue

Ya.. that's my issue. I'm in a tiny town in Canada. Home depot is like 3 hours away. That's why I used a baking sheet to begin with. I can't even find the steel to cut it out.

With that tho. I traced the bottom of the big drip pan and cut it out as best I could. I gotta clean my RTD probe. Gotta get a metal blade for jig saw. I hafta get an 820 slide cover too. But to buy anything online. It's gonna cost an arm and a leg for shipping.
