Door Latch Broke

reviving an old post! I just had my latch break off. I waited quite a while to live chat pitboss since their phone number didn't go through... but eventually I explained the issue, sent a picture, and they seem to be sending me a latch assembly as well. So in the mean time I am going to try the latch posted above from Ace since I had plans to cook overnight tonight. If the latch doesn't work, I'll use a clamp or some other pure genius way to hold the door shut

That specific latch worked but only after man handling it a bit. I had to put it in a vice and bend the hook portion out to make it long enough to reach around the metal on the door. The screw holes lined up perfectly out of the box. sorry i dont know the specific terms for window clasp and latches. But it feels pretty solid now. I'm going to run it til it dies probably, knowing that if the pitboss replacement shows up i'll have it as a backup.
