Hello Everyone! I've been grilling with an offset (cheap Char-Griller from the HD) and for years I've wanted a pellet smoker for the simplicity compared to an offset.

I was browsing FB Marketplace when I came across an 1150 Pro that was in pieces. The seller wanted $150 which seems a little high to me but still messaged him to see if he had all the parts. He said he did and sent a few more pictures. Luck was in my favor because he had to get rid of it and I ended up getting it for $30 bucks and hour round trip drive. It was worth the gamble at that price to pick it up and see if it worked.

After I got it home I powered it up in a disassembled state to see if it was even worth it to put together. It fired right up, I set the temp to 225 and I could hear the auger moving but nothing was coming out and it was making a funny noise.

I pulled everything apart and found swollen pellets in the auger tube. I then took the power washer and cleaned everything. It did not have any of the screws needed to put the legs, lower shelf or side shelf back on. I found some in my collection to get the legs installed, and the lower shelf back on. The shelf will have to wait until I can run to the hardware store and get some more screws.

After reassembling, the auger turned smoothly and pellets came out flawlessly. It was able to reach 500° no problems.

The only thing thats missing is the Flame Broiler plate. I'll have to find out if I can order one from PB or aftermarket.

For $30, I think it was worth the risk to get a near complete 1150.
