Hell Y'all,
Just got done with my first cook on my proSeries Vertical.(PBV4PS2 Lowes))
I'm kind of a whack job on maintenance I watched several of Zack's videos on American smoke.
My first cook was a slab of baby backs that were marginal. When mama says thy taste like they were cooked in the oven, it's bad.
But that's not why I'm here. I decided to clean it well. knocked out the pull-out ashpot and cleaned..mAt that point I wanted to remove what I'm calling the heat plate at the very bottom of the chamber held in with six shitty chinese screws. he screws are philips and standard but stripped out trying to remove them. I used the correct screw drivers(size and material)
Went and got a can of PB blaster. that helped with two screws. The last screw is just under the grease drip tray on the right and is stuck and boogered out.
What is under that tray and does it need to be removed and vacuumed? On the video Zack said he didn't even put the screws back in since the plate is kinda heavy.
So what's under there and does it need to be vacuumed? I guess I'm going to have to buy an impact driver to try and loosen the last screw.
Thabks in advance for calming me down.
John
