I did a butt on Sunday. My 1150 ran for at keast 8 hours at 250. Still performing as it should for me. Hopefully she keeps it up. I have seen on a Facebook group where some owners were taking the "temperature probe shield" out and were having good results.

I have talked to Pit boss they cannot resolve this issue and told me to return the grill. I will return the unit and will never buy a grill from this manufacturer.

There is a new firmware update for the pid controller. You have to contact customer service either online or by phone. They will send you a fedex label to send your controller in, they will update and return to you in 7-10 days. It’s supposed to fix the issue of temp control between 200-300 degrees and also give 5 degree increments between 200-300. I just spoke with them today and they are sending me a label. They did say I will have to do the break in cycles again when it returns. Good news hopefully!
