Well, I pulled the trigger earlier today and picked up a PIT BOSS PRO SERIES II 850 from Lowes. It'll be delivered on Friday. As some may have seen, I had a 3-year-old Traeger Pro Series that I had nothing but trouble with over the past year. I had to replace the hot wire, thermostat, and the controller (twice). These problems screwed up several cooks; the rig just died. So I fixed it (again), and sold it. Two hours later, I was at Lowes picking up my new Pit Boss.

I'm excited to be part of a new family.

I just got a new new PB 850 Series 3 hours ago.

I am unable to connect the rig to the wifi app. I changed it to 2.4 mghz and it stil does not work. The app is not allowing me to manually enter my network and password information.

I called PB 5 times and they are sending me a new controller! Seriously? It's 3 hours old and I am already having problems. I sold my Traeger because of all the problems I had. Now I have this crap

Anyone ever have a problem like this?

Congratulations but they’re folks on here that have the app. I don’t want one. My 820 serves me well.
Hopefully someone in here can help you 🇺🇸🇺🇸
 
I had the same problem 3 years ago when my smoker was new. I took almost 6 months for a new controller to come in, as it was the start of covid in China. It has been fine ever since.

Were you able to connect to your grill using bluetooth?
