New to the pellet grill world

Hi folks, I’ve been grilling and gas grill smoking since I was born practically but now I think it is time to move on to the pellets. I was pretty much set on the PB1100 until I saw the new platinum line. Does anyone have any suggestions? I like the size to work with on the 1100 but I also like the PID and combo of the Mx combo just think the pellet side is a bit small and not sure if the combo is a bit gimmicky.
