Pit Boss Savannah Onyx Controller

Hello forum members. I just purchased a Pit Boss Savannah Onyx edition from Walmart. I got it for $300 as it was marked down because of the box being destroyed. I really wanted a grill with Wifi but could not pass up this deal. While researching this grill the Pit Boss website says that the controller can be upgraded to one with Wifi but I am having trouble finding which controller to upgrade to? Any help on the one I want would be awesome. Thank you all

Don't do it. Get a stand alone unit to monitor temps like inkbird or thermoworks.

I know there are some people on here that have had issues with both connectivity and software updates, but there are a lot of us who've never had a single issue. I still use an InkBird for my temp monitoring, but like having the ability to control temps remotely. I upgraded an old Austin XL with this exact controller because I wanted PID, but was happy that it also offered Wi-Fi.

Brewersfan73 Thank you for the link and the insight. I am going to give it a go as I also want the ability to remotely control the grill.
