Pro Series 1150 review

I just posted this on another thread, but may be useful review to others here. After looking at A LOT of pellet grills, I just got a PB1150PS2 last Thursday at Lowes & got a 15% discount off the $599. Went through the burnoff per instructions Friday morning with zero issues. Smoked a 1.75lb pork tenderloin that night with no issues. Smoked a 3.5lb tri-tip Saturday with no issues. Smoked a 5.5lb butt for 8hrs on Sunday with no issues. So far so good. The APP does kinda suck & hoping for an update with more intuitive/useful features, but all-in-all, very stoked on this beast so far. What I do, is at turn-on....give it 15mins from button push & don't touch the temp until pot is hot & smoke dissipates, l then adjust to my desired cooking temp. Been holding my desired temps very well....but I do wish there were smaller increments to select. Hoping no issues in front of me, but ZERO complaints at this point.

Anyone shopping at Lowe's, just know they offer a 10% military veteran's discount. You can definitely apply that to a new grill.

I got the discount last time I was there (forgot what I bought). I was wearing a mask that said M*A*S*H so they assumed I was military . It was a young kid at checkout. He asked me what MASH stood for and I told him Mobile Army Surgical Hospital near North Korea. Then I decided if he asked my name I would say Radar but he didn't ask.

Anyway, I kinda wish I hadve got something like this instead of my vertical PBV4PS2. I like the thought of grilling and smoking both.
I've mentioned this before, mine was very much an impulse buy. Literally walked into a deal on their floor model. The price where I was at, our local Lowe’s was like 449.00. They had a 399.00 price tag on the display unit. And it was already assembled. Everything appeared good. Then the sales guy told me if I got it home and ANYTHING wasn’t right to bring it right back for a refund. He’s also the one that told me these things produces the smokiest taste on the universe. Lol.
I was still on the fence and still talking with him and out of nowhere he asked if I had a Lowe’s card. I had one several years ago and didn’t use it much. It eventually cancelled itself for non use after probably a year. Anyway he told me if I’d get another I could get 20% off my first purchase (up to a certain amount). Well I went for that. And that knocked it down to lol 320 bucks. Plus tax. From 449.00 down to 320.00 I felt pretty good about it.
But NOW after finding this forum and seeing everything folks are doing with pellet burners I feel kinda cheated. Lol. I’d love to have the grill option as well!
Oh. Paid the card off a week later and have cancelled it. The lady on the phone acted if I was doing something shifty. Lol.

Where did you find the 15% lowes

Shit I got the smaller 850 model and it’s does 5 degree increments??? 275 matters more to me then the 5 degrees, not to mention your food isn’t gonna turn out any worse. Like most the nubs on here
