Ok, this shouldn't be happening, before anyrthing else I'd ask you to try to rename your grill by going in the pencil icon that you can find on the grill "card" and just change the nickname and save, this will force the app to update the "link" between your grill and your phone.
If even after doing this you're still not receiving notifications then we can investigate further!

Well after seeing that it looks like there'll be some support. I installed the app and successfully paired and updated my grill.
Kinda lookin foward to my next cook to see how it responds. Hoping it don't have to relearn the PID. Because it was quick to respond to manual control

The new app is supposed to mirror the same temperature settings you have on your grill, if the settings are not the same could you please tell me the grill model so I can check it out?

I have a 80036 legacy V1 controller that is installed in PB700D. It is recognized and I get cooker alert when temp is reached but no for probes. The temp range is wrong at the smoker I have 5 degree increments and the app still is 25 degree from 180 to 250 then 50 degree from there to 500 and the iPad does not give sound only a popup I am still testing this. The probes not either with either platform

Works great on my IPad and android phone 10 degree stepping and probe worked great on both platforms.

Ok so I just changed the name and all it said was changes saved should it have done anything else? Also for the sound alert does the app need to be open on my phone meaning if I have the app open but my phones screen went off will it still work?

Is the grill connected to WiFi or only Bluetooth ?

See attached pic I see the bars for wifi but I feel they should be filled in, is that true or is what you see in the pic meaning I have full wifi, I feel like I’ve seen them filled with white

I would like a feature that allows the fan to run with no auger or igniter. This would allow us to use our cabinets as cold smokers only, with an additional smoke tube. Grill style models might be ok depending on how tight the lids are... Currently I need to crack my cabinet door to allow the smoke tube to stay lit, otherwise it extinguishes without O2. The fan alone could solve that.

As others have mentioned, the graph feature is not only fun and cool to look at, but It helps in estimating how much time might be remaining. If the app could keep a history of cooks by date, so we can see basic info that'd be helpful to repeat recipes or methods. Like a built in grill journal that captures actual data and allows you to name and notate.

first thing first, were you able to receive notifications after updating the grill name or still nothing ?
second, the icons on top are meant to show the current connection method and the signal strength for that connection, the App will automatically switch between bluetooth and WiFi when needed, using Bluetoth if available and in range otherwise using WiFi.

About the first feature i'll have to check with the engineering team.
For the graph feature... we are working on it with an added enhancement as well

Hello Tim, could you send me a picture of the controller ? or just the device id (you should see it in the app), unfortunately I'm not familair with the "80036" name, but if you coudl tell me the family (PBG, PBM, PBL, PBC....) that's better for me!

yes I got a message when grill temp is reached, one thing however on the smoke it app if after you reached a grill temp lets say for example 400 smoke it would alert me, then if I changed the cooking temp lets say I dropped it to 350 the smoke it app would notify again when 350 was reached, this hasn't happened with the new app. I was notified the very first time but if I changed my cooking temp no other notification was given when new cooking temp was reached. The wifi signal seems weak as well, I only notice the bars filling up if I'm right near it, if I'm more than 30ft away the 3 bars are still showing but none are filled.

It is on the web site as shop. Accessories. Upgrades. The it is the on that pit Boss Legacy WI-FI AND BLUETOOTH connected control board (vertical)

I just got my replacement legacy controller installed and although it says the WiFi connected it is not connected. The iT icon is lit up solid (indicating WiFi connection). On the app only the Bluetooth shows connection. The PB tech help line is sending the issues up the chain. Fingers crossed

Just be sure your not trying to connect with 5G 2.4 on both sides to start
