Probably a good reason to unplug when done with a cook. Thread's a couple years old, but someone posted 3 months ago, their Pit Boss wifi grill starting on its own.

Unplugged here also. One close lighting strike will make you a believer.
I haven't lost no grills but lost count count of how many motion detectors I've replaced
