The release of the new SMOKE iT app was delayed today awaiting approval by Apple. The app stores will show 2 apps....SMOKE IT "Legacy" which is what everyone is using now and...SMOKE iT will become the new wireless app. SMOKE iT Legacy (Old App) SMOKE iT (New 8/3). Everyone must "Create Account" and "Sign Up" with a brand new user name and password. You can use your old email but you must create a new account on the SMOKE iT app with a new user name and password. This must also be done whenever you replace your control panel or the app still thinks it's the old controller. <))))><

The new Smoke IT app has not been release as of 08/03 or the Smoke IT Legacy app on the Apple IOS side.

I’m a newcomer but I’m willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. Looking at the app’s updates previously, they were pretty regular (monthly), and then stopped 5 months ago(possibly when Apple started requiring Devs to disclose user data collection information on apps). Hopefully just working out the kinks and getting it pushed through apple’s requirements.

Actually if it had been me to handle it. There would have been no announcement until the minute I saw it online in the App Store.

I don't have a firm answer for that but considering there are almost 250,000 of them out there WORKING PERFECTLY right now I would imagine that everyone will have to download it at the app store. Logistically it would seem harder to try to "push" the new app to that many with a firmware update. <))))><

As of 08/04/2021 a new app has not been release as well as you cannot register a new grill. Pitboss will not register over the phone and the Pitboss-grills-com URL that was down for a extended period looks the same, but with a lot fewer items. Sound like a hack to me.
