I’m test running this thing now. Using iPhone X. The page that show’s Bluetooth and WiFi when I click either one it jumps back to controls. But I don’t have the Bluetooth icon showing on upper right of my phone. Also in Settings it shows it has permission to use Bluetooth. But the grill isnt listed under Bluetooth in settings. Are yours similar? What I’m trying to say is, I’m not sure I have a Bluetooth connection.
rhe old app the little Bluetooth icon in the app would blink on and off. Also sitting here watching it the fan ignition and auger icons aren’t displaying correctly to match what’s showing on the control.
Wondering if I should reinstall again. The first time I set up the new acct.
deleted smoke it from phone. And downloaded and installed this second time.
Any advice. Does any of this sound right to what you’re getting ?

OK. Y’all are gonna love this. I said there were two yesterday. One named Smoke-it with a dash. Then it was gone.
I know everyone thought I was nuts.
I just checked and now both are back up.
The old looking one that has been updated and name tagged with ‘Legacy’.
NOW the Smoke-It (no legacy but with a dash in the name) is back up.
It’s wierd but it’s labeled as a Lifestyle app instead of utility or whatever. So now what. The smoke it app guy said just Smoke It without Legacy was the NEW one.

I finally did get it to work. Don’t sign out under accounts or you have start over again from scratch. I thing there are still some quirks with the app. I think it might have been rushed into production due to pressure from Pitboss and customer complaints. I worked in IT and have seen this type of project management lots of time in the past. Never turns out good.

Yea that sounds kinda like what mine done. The fan icon would work. Did you see the post I just did above these? Now at IOS App Store the Smoke-It is back up.(with the dash in the name. And no Legacy)
and for awhile the Legacy was up too. I just looked again and now the Legacy version is gone. Lol.

I looked back at it again and noticed this one has no ratings or reviews.

I was up at 3 am to start a brisket, and have the new app for the first time (iOS). After a little drama with the app not liking my email format when I re-registered (I just typed it in again)(it was 3 in the morning so it might have been me), it is up and running. I think this is a good update. So far it hasn't had any of the previous version's quirks (not keeping connected, not getting updates from the grill, not getting temp notificatons). I received a notification that the grill temp was up to 225 within a few seconds from when the grill got to temp. It has a "Grill Health Check" function which isn't so much a check on the grill but all the connectivity (cloud, WiFi, Server, Bluetooth) for the grill and the app. It has been quick and accurate, and it easy to use. So far so good.

Edit: Just discovered it has a timer function. NICE!

Is the Android version available yet? Nothing new in the app store and current app on my Samsung appears to work the same.

Hello Jeep. Not sure about Android. I’m IOS. But again this morning in the App Store they’ve changed again.
now only one. Named Smoke-It Legacy (with a dash in it)

sooo after trying it yesterday afternoon Nt not Acting right I uninstalled again.

now I downloaded and installed the newest, says only hours old.
Will see.
From mid day yesterday they have changed the number of apps. The names of apps and had one update to one of the apps. And today all I see is the one I just mentioned. Setup went through I THINK.
Fixing to try.

OK. It’s Smoke-It Legacy now. Lol.
only a few hours old. And says it’s the newest.
BUT it’s back to a simpler looking black background. Nooks almost identical to the original Smoke It. No tabs recipes or the other stuff.
I tried the one with white BG everyone was using yesterday.
I had some poor connections. WiFi I think was good but uncertain about Bluetooth at all. Also the fan igniter and auger icons did not function to match the control at all.
aome other things as well.
so this morning I checked at App Store and found this version. Interesting the file size on this was is 200 something. the one yesterday was much smaller.
I went ahead and attempted setup.
it actually went pretty well. Bluetooth is showing on app when using. The fan auger and igniter all match the control.
temo changes seem to be immediate. And it let me even power it down from the app. Which I could never do with my original one.
So
Back to black
Connected well
Machine icons matched apps
Temp changes from app immediate
Power down worked good.

so I don’t know what they’re doing besides messing with my head.

but this one. For ME. Right now seems to work.

I shut it down. Mamas getting some chicken ready. And I’m gonna do a small short cook.
Somebody else mentioned it. But I think they’re shuffling it out right now and are running into problems.

And I’ll bet there Will eventually be a Smoke-it without legacy again soon.

The new SMOKE it app was delayed by Apple until 8/3. Tomorrow the app stores will have 2 SMOKE iT apps. One will have SMOKE iT "Legacy" (which is the app your using now) and the new app will take over the SMOKE iT name. SMOKIE iT Legacy (old) SMOKE iT (new) When you download the new app you cannot just log in. You must create a new account to sign in. You can use you same old email but YOU MUST CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT. You also must create a new account whenever you replace your control panel or the app will think it's still the old control panel and not communicate with it. <))))><

My smokeit app has a 3 by it. How do I clear that or see what the notifications are? Nothing shows up anywhere in the app or in notifications

Wish I could help but I don’t have a clue. There’s a thousand questions from everybody needing help.
I wish the app guy or someone from PB or t2Fi would come in.
I tried the one some had pretty good luck with yesterday and it didn’t work for me at all. I checked and fount another version this morning. Lol. I downloaded and tested and it looked pretty good.
I got some chicken pieces on it right now. I don’t want to jinx anything but itslooking Goodson far.
I personally don’t care. But it’s back to the black. No tabs or recipes and the other stuff
it looks almost identical to the original. But so far it’s working. I’ll take a working version over a pretty one any day of the week. Lol.

its the only one up right Now. Named smoke-it legacy and has a black interface. Like I said it look almost identical to the old original one.
Says was released about 16 hours by now.
no comments ratings or reviews. But V2.9.2

im still not convinced it or any of them is the legitimate new app.
if this one has issues I’ll prob just try and phone em.
