This is hidden if searched (only the Legacy is shown by searching), but clicking your link brought it up on my PC, and I was able to initiate the Install from there onto my phone. I'll try it next time I cook!
 
Hey for PBV4PS2 owners with iOS iPhone.

FOR WHAT ITS WORTH.

I emailed support last night and told them I had the PBV4PS2 smoker. And using iPhone.

I asked which app do I use.
Smoke iT
Or
Smoke it Legacy.

I just got a reply and it said
“If you use iPhone use the iPhone version. If you use Android use the Android version. Yup you heard it here first.

I then called the number provided in the email. And was just told the PBV4PS2 uses smoke it Legacy.

So I guess we don’t get the white background, tabs and all that. Lol.​


But I just got off the phone with them and that’s what he said.

Again. For what it’s worth. Lol.

I also replied back on that email. I hope to get the same answer from that fellow.

I have been using the Legacy app. Today I downloaded and used the new one on my Android. They both are not too great. The new one looks worse but works a little better. It still had some of the same problems as the legacy. I could pretty much fully control my grill and get notifications on both apps.

Hey thanks for the input.this has been a mess. Ironically I had downloaded and used (at the time) Smoke iT yesterday. Did a test run and then a quick cook.
the black one. I was messing around and looked back at the App Store and I’ll be dang the black one had been renamed Smoke iT Legacy. Lol. Before i also noticed it said it was for Pit Boss. Not just Lockhart And that combo series.
Well I was about to uninstall and I noticed the name of the app on my iPhone was Legacy. Lmao. Now guys I have screenshots of all this junk. I thought I was crazy. Anyway as it turned out I did have the Legacy black bg amd didn’t know it was Legacy. Then I noticed they had both up at the same time. The white bg was named simply Smoke iT.
Aw crap. I’m tired of writing all this confusing stuff and I know everyone’s tired of seeing it. But I had it. Bud didn’t know if it was correct. That’s why the email to support last night. I was curious if it would let me but I downloaded the Smoke iT white bg and had it on my phone too. But I did not install it this time. It’s just the way they were shuffling em around I figured I’d grab it and then use whatever they said.

Ok this is confusing enough. But as I was told in the phone the Smoke iT Legacy is the right one. Even though that contradicts what SIAG said when all this started.

it took me two install attempts to get the Bluetooth working. But as far as I could tell from what I did with it. The dang thing ran pretty good. I got a headache watching everything so close. Just to make sure it was updating to the control like it should. And it seeemed spot on.
Beaides calling I also replied back in the email. I haven’t got an answer back yet. Hopefully it will say the same.

Did anybody else notice how much bigger the file size is? The Legacy is like 200 something. The white Smike iT is less than half that size.

I don’t mind the black background if it will just work. The white one looked cool but I didn’t like jumping around through all the ads.

I plan on a cook tomorrow. Hopefully it will maintain. Lol.
Yesterday besides just monitoring. I made temp changes. A few times and they hanged on the control just fine. If it’ll just do that much 100% I’ll be happy. I don’t know how much I’d be putting a recipe etc In with it anyway.
 
The main thing in the new android app is that my grill and the app now use the same increments for temperature. Before the update, the app was using the first gen control boards temp increments. I have the pro 1150 with the newer board and it's now synced.

as I already mentioned mine did pretty good day before yesterday. And after all the changes they were making, according to the guy I spoke to on the phone I actually had the right one loaded. lol. So, this afternoon go. N.A. try it again. Got a rack of St Louis that needs cooked. It’s gonna be my test pilot dummy.
I got high hopes.

Google is hiding it right now for some reason lol. Go to the Google Play store search SMOKE iT and when SMOKE iT Legacy pops up, tap on t2fi just below SMOKE iT and it will list all t2fi products, the new SMOKE IT is near the bottom of the list, for now. Should display in the store any time. The old app is now "SMOKE iT Legacy" and the new app takes over the "SMOKE iT" name. <))))><

Hey man
I use iOS Apple iPhone. Running PBV4PS2 smoker.
After trying the ones that seemed to come and go and then not working in the iOS App Store one popped up named Smoke-iT. No legacy was in the title. Anyway it had the old black background. Not the new white. When I downloaded to my iPhone the name below the icon said SmokeitLegacy.
I waited several hours. Checked the app store again and now the black interface was named Legacy. Lol.
but the description stated for simply Pit Boss.
The white interface new looking one the description says for Lockhart and Combo models Specificly
So I test drive the black one. Which looks like an upgraded version of the original and it ran good. I then did a short cook. Again good. I still wasn’t positive because I understood we would be using the new white interface. So I emailed support. Got a kind of confusing response. But it had a phone number. I called and spoke to a gentleman and he told me my PBV4PS2 would run the black Smoke iT Legacy which was the one I still had on my iPhone.
I am now as I’m typing this cooking some ribs and it is still working fine.
only problem I’ve had so far is once it seemed to quit responding. I noticed the little Bluetooth icon was gone. So I shut it down. And just brought it back up and it’s back running good.
move made temp changes a couple of times and all went well.
so now after reading all that’s been put up today I’m surely confused. The Support guy told me over the phone I would use Legacy. I am using it now. Seems good. Now I think I’m understanding I’m suppose to be using the new white interface Smoke It??
And honestly. I’m not trying to be aggravating. Just confused.
