SMOKE iT APP Questions? New SMOKE iT APP!

im running a PBV4PS2 btw.

Yeah I read that post last night that’s why I started looking. My old app was a black background then showed all grill read outs. This one is a white back ground and has tabs on the bottom to check out other stuff like recipes and store stuff. Idk all I know is this app is different from what I used a couple days ago. It seems a lot better for connection around the house. Couple days ago I had a hard time connecting when I was in certain areas of the house. My grill is in the back yard. I’m usually around the grill anyways. It’s just kinda nice to see the grill temps and probe temps if I have to go in the house for a bit. I guess long story short it’s working better for me for distances purposes and that’s prolly the only change I see besides the layout and the tabs for checking out other stuff that doesn’t really pertain to the grills function.

Yeah will do. Hopefully I won’t have any out of the ordinary things happening lol. Like grill temp turning up or grill shutting down for no reason. I’m curious to see what happens when I shut it down if it says that it is shutting down and it don’t say my grill is still hot like the old one use too lol.

Only the ios version has been released.
Supposedly the android version will be today sometime, Aug 7th.

Any updates on if and when a new app will be deployed? There is a lot of confusion on which app to use if any? Thanks

It looks like mine just updated to the new app. It’s telling me to turn on my unit to do the set up. I’ll see what happens later today or tomorrow

I went through and set up an account again. After that I connected to my 850 and all went well. its the legacy app but it is definitely different. It’s asking to calibrate my 225 temp. Hope this helps

It asked if I could set to 225. I couldn’t and said no, then the app started. My controller goes in 10 degree increment.

Ok I’m curious. So we’re suppose to use the Legacy version? Which is the only one I see available now?
The description says it works for Lockhart and Combo series.
Does that include my PBV4PS2 as well?

I downloaded the Smoke It Legacy app and this appears to be the new update. I had to delete it and the reinstall it twice to get a connection and control the app. So far so good.

The legacy app appears to be working sogar.
